Serving Homebound Individuals with Compassionate Mobile Dental Care
We understand that access to dental care can be challenging for homebound individuals. That's why with house call visits by Brilliant Denture & Implant Studio, we provide professional, compassionate dental services directly to your home. Whether you or a loved one are dealing with mobility issues, chronic illness, or simply cannot travel to a traditional office, our mobile dental team is here to provide high-quality care in the comfort and safety of your own environment. We are committed to ensuring that every patient receives the attention and treatment they deserve, without the stress of leaving home.
Our services will include:
Comprehensive Exam and Treatment Planning: Medical history and medications reconciliation, contraindications or risks to dental treatment, oral cancer screening, jaw and TMJ functional assessment, nutritional assessment, periodontal evaluation and diagnosis, radiographic interpretation if appropriate, palpation of facial muscles and lymph nodes for irregularities, salivary flow assessment, hard and soft tissue exam, assessment of static and dynamic occlusion, intra-oral and extra-oral photographs, explanation of disease process, and treatment planning.
Full and Partial Dentures: Offering high-quality resin, cast metal, and flexible partials.
Repairs and Relines: We provide professional repairs and relines to ensure your dentures fit comfortably and function properly.
Soft Liners: To enhance comfort for denture wearers, we offer soft liners that provide a better fit.
Periodontal Therapies: Including prophylaxis (prophy) and scaling and root planing as needed to maintain existing dentition and gum health.
No-Drill Fillings: These are non-invasive restorations ideal for patients who may not tolerate or wish to avoid traditional drilling. No-drill fillings arrest caries, stabilize the tooth, and provide a protective barrier to prevent further decay.
While our primary focus is prosthetics, we do provide limited restorative treatments to stabilize existing dentition. If a patient requires more comprehensive care, we will assist in coordinating treatment with a trusted dental office.
Our goal is to make high-quality denture care accessible, especially for seniors, offering compassionate, friendly service that prioritizes comfort and convenience.

Why Seniors Need Our Specialized Care
As people age, we face an increased risk for oral health issues, especially if they live in assisted living or nursing homes. Even those with dentures still need regular oral care to maintain their overall health. Poor oral hygiene can contribute to serious health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and an increased risk of pneumonia.
Patients with remaining natural dentition should be seen for an exam every 6 months to track bone loss, recession, and condition of teeth and prostheses. If there are medications causing dry mouth, rapid changes can take place, so routine examination is now even more important.
Patients that are edentulous, with no remaining natural dentition, should be seeing a provider at least 1x per year to screen and diagnose changes in soft tissue, TMJ function, and bone resorption rates.
Our services provide more than just dental exams. We offer dental treatment directly in your home or care facility, eliminating the need for transportation to a dental office.
The Impact of Aging on Oral Health
As seniors age, changes in bone density and oral structures can affect the strength and function of their teeth and gums. Bone loss, especially in the jaw, often leads to tooth loss, which can cause difficulty chewing and may lead to malnutrition. Additionally, enamel wear makes teeth more susceptible to decay and damage.
Common Dental Issues in Seniors
Seniors often face dental challenges such as:
Uneven Jawbone: When missing teeth aren't replaced, the surrounding bone can shrink or shift, leading to depressions in the jaw and misalignment of the bite (occlusion).
Tooth Loss: Often due to gum disease, cavities, or bone loss.
Gum Disease: Caused by plaque buildup and worsened by ill-fitting dentures, fillings, or bridges.
Dry Mouth: Common in seniors due to reduced saliva flow, often caused by medication or past treatments like radiation therapy. The pH in the mouth changes, exposing dentition to higher risk for gum disease, sensitivity, and tooth decay.
Root Decay: When gums recede, exposing the tooth roots, which are more prone to decay. Exposed roots often become very sensitive as well.
Food Pocketing: Resulting from difficulty swallowing food properly, which worsens with dry mouth and can lead to cavities.
Oral Cancer Awareness
Oral cancer is a serious concern, especially for seniors. Regular dental check-ups are essential for early detection. Early stages of oral cancer may not be painful, but symptoms can include persistent sores, red or white patches, and changes in the mouth’s color. If you notice any unusual changes, we encourage you to visit your dentist promptly.
Oral Hygiene Tips for Seniors
Proper oral hygiene is essential for maintaining good health, especially as we age. Since flossing can be difficult for some seniors, we recommend using a WaterPik or water flosser to clean between the teeth. Here are some tips to maintain good oral health:
Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
Floss daily or use a WaterPik if traditional flossing is difficult
Use an alcohol-free antiseptic mouthwash to reduce bacteria
Consume a healthy, balanced diet rich in dairy and high-fiber foods
Regularly visit your dentist for cleanings and check-ups
